2016 FIVB Club World Championship

This year's FIVB Club World Championship comes to Manila, Philippines! This is the first time that the Philippines have organized an FIVB event since hosting the Group 1 Final round of World Grand Prix in 2000 (yes, we really did host the final round of Group 1! in Araneta Coliseum! Remember Gamova, Sokolova and Leila Barros???) 🙌🙌🙌

The games of the tournament will be held in Mall of Asia Arena, in Pasay City.

Note that since this is just a club tournament, there will be no accumulation of FIVB world ranking points.

Format & Competition

The competition is fairly comprehensive as it is only 6 days of games (no breaks). Eight teams are grouped into 2 pools. Each pool will play a single round robin to determine ranking. Since there are only 8 teams, the top 2 teams per pool will advance to a semifinals knockout game while the remaining 4 teams will play classification games.
